Im using , from top to bottom: 4" Lux-HQ, 2" soft talalday blended latex(20-24), 3" med talalay blended(32-36). Im still in the acclamation stage, and the mattress, so far, is comfortable.

The problem is, when I removed the latex from the Lux, there was a tremendous amount of static electricity built up between the latex and foam '

I'd not heard of this in all the reading and research prior to putting this mattress together. Is this a common occurence, or it it just me?

I do have the mattress laying on the carpet. This Could be a factor. It being on the carpet is just temporary, as I intend to mount it on a frame(cal king(2 twin xls) once Im sure of the proper configuration.

If anyone has information on this topic I would appreciate, very much, if you could advise me on this topic.

Thanks.

L.

Yeah, I doubt that static electricity is a big health problem. At certain times of the year, I get it really bad when I get out of my car. Sometimes it really hurts! But I would only consider it a problem with my mattress, if it happened while sleeping or every time I got in and out of it. I think it's okay if it's just when moving the layers around.
