Would I need a mattress pad for the sleep science costco latex mattress?

what else would I need to make this mattress best suited to my sleep needs?

I am suffering from a herniated disk in my low back.

i have it, for over 3 months.  please note suggestions from previous replies which were relevant for YOUR comfort.

i also have a ruptured disk and this mattress has been very comfortable after weeks of trying different sides, cover and pads.  leo is correct about less is best.  i will be trying a wool pad mainly to add temperature control and softness.   so, the short answer is, no, maybe you don't need a pad.

But, on the other hand, maybe you do.cheeky

I don't understand why you are so agitated, mattresspuzzle, by answers from people who don't own this particular bed. Comfort is an individual matter, and this bed may or may not be comfortable for you. But, you won't know until you try it out.

Also, it is fair to ask why your friend is getting rid of the bed in the first place. I also think it's fair to ask to try the bed out. Any one of my friends would let me do that.
