Hello all. Since everyone has been great here, I want to provide my feedback on my iComfort Genius bed. Received it yesterday along with the low profile box springs. One box spring was received damanged so JCPenny is replacing both. I placed the water proof cover Protect a bed Premium cover along with a padded cover I had on my previous pillow top mattress that was replaced by warranty for this IComfort. First night we slept great on it. Yes it is a bit on the hard side but something we were looking for since we both suffer from lower back pain. We woke up with no pains this morning. I am a stomach sleeper and I can say I did not feel any uneven curves while sleeping. My wife is a back sleeper and also slept great. There were no smell of the mattress and did not experience any heat issues. Our AC at night is at 73 degrees. I will try to post feedback every couple of days to inform everyone about this mattress.. Thanks |
Update #2: The last couple of nights for me have been a bit rought trying to become accustomed to a harder bed instead of the very soft pillow top we had. I have awoken with mid back pains but the wife loves the bed. Awakes perfectly fine. Hopefully bed becomes a bit software and I can sleep a bit better... |
I hear ya. I've tried the Genius and Revolution a few times at our local Sears store. I lay on the Revolution and whoa, lot of sink, ultra plush feel. I bought one and my back and neck are a little stiff. I've heard a too soft bed will do that. I lay on the Genius at Sears and wow, it is fairly firm. Sometimes I think it is too much pushback in that i feel the support foam underneath. It's too bad Serta didn't make the Genius a wee bit plusher and save the firmest one as the Insight. I thought about buying a Genius, but it's not going to happen. Just ordered a SleepEZ 10000 a half hour ago. |
Lets us know how it keeps going for you with the Genius. thx. |
Unfortunately I am stuck with JCPenny. You see this is my 4th mattress in the last 8 years replaced under warranty. I have not had any luck with mattresses, from sagging in the middle, top layer cloth falling apart, sagging where we sleep. Hopefully I get more luck with this mattress. Yes JCPenny no longer gives you a sleep comfort guarantee but with the iComfort they do since this guarantee comes from Serta. We tried the Genius and Prodigy at a local mattress store and really liked both. Mind you Genius was not as hard as ours at the store. Unfortunately JCPenny does not carry the Prodigy which felt really nice. Let's see what happens in the next 90 days. If not I guess I will go back to the drawing board. Thanks again |

But, I used the 1-time exchange priviledge from a Stearns and Foster, paid the upcharge and got the Revolution. Because of that, Sears says the 120 in home trial is voided and the bed is a final sale..... of course, the Sears chump who does the exchange process over the phone makes no mention of that. If the customer doesn't ask all the questions, Sears let's one screw themselves. Sears sales clerks and many of the phone reps are a bunch of ill informed, unprofessional chumps. Last time I'll do an exchange, ever, unless there would be a return after it. Already I'm thinking about how to sell this Revolution on Craigslist when the SleepEZ latex comes in. Someone at a sleep store recommended leaving a bowling ball on the mattress. When it sage enough call up Serta. But when I find a mattress I really like, I want the Revolution out of the house, not keep it around to try for a free replacement. This message was modified Aug 9, 2011 by slpngoc

I would have recourse if I had one of the sales associates on my camera phone video telling me an exchange to iComfort mattress would be returnable. I asked a couple different sales associates since there's different ones there everytime you go in. This message was modified Aug 9, 2011 by slpngoc

That is terrible! Another twist to the sordid underside of the mattress industry. Well, we appreciate you sharing your sad experience and being able to learn from it. Good to get the word out about Sears. Everyday low prices don't mean much if it means they stick you with something you don't want. |
