Pure Latex Bliss Nutrition or Sealy Embody Perspective?

These are the two latex mattresses I have been able to sample in my area.  It is difficult for me to tell which will be best to relieve my discomfort from pressure points.  One web site (BedPlanet.com) says that the Sealy Embody Perspective is constructed as follows (from top to bottom):

2" smart latex, 1" high density polyurethane foam, 2" smart latex, 2" high density SS foam, 4" latex core with interlock system

Meanwhile, the PureBliss Nutrition is all latex, with a 6" talalay latex support layer and 4" talalay latex pressure relief layer

The advantages of the Sealy Perspective is a (roughly) $500 price advantage for a king, as well as the local family-owned store that is selling it.  I am somewhat loathe to deal with the Sleepys that is selling the Pure Latex Biss.  However, pressure point discomfort has been a major insomnia issue for me.  Does it really make an appreciable difference to have all latex versus the various layering of the Perspective?

Any insights are welcome!!

For the king size, the Nutrition is roughly $500 more.

It's so nice to have sales pitches on this forum.  Thanks for not even trying to hide the BS that we've all heard in showrooms before.

no sales pitch. You cant have a bed made any simpler.

Most natural latex made in the US comes from a litlle place called Latex International. Guess where Pure Latex Bliss came from? If Pure Latex BLiss call you, what name shows up on your caller ID? Latex International!

2" smart latex, 1" high density polyurethane foam, 2" smart latex, 2" high density SS foam, 4" latex core with interlock system

Know why the sealy is so cheap? They ony use 4" of actual latex (more then likely, bought from Latex International). Smart latex, polyurethane, more smart latex, and ss foam is all cheap stuff marketed to seem like its the beez neez.

Sales pitch or not, Pure Latex Bliss is better then Sealy.

That's not saying much....better than Sealy?  Why all the cheap poly and high density SS foam?  That's not latex and that's the stuff that craps up the mattress eventually.  I know about LI but adding all the other crap to sell a cheap mattress would be the eventual downfall of such a mattress.  I have latex from LI but I wouldn't have one with poly foam in it.  I've been there and I won't go back.  If you read the rules for the forum, these sales pitches are not supposed to be on here.  I think you have a conflict of interest here.  Simple beds don't make them the best beds.  Neither are the cheap ones.

i bought a sealy "reflexions" latex bed and it was the most expensive mistake of my life (other than my first marrage). the latex core is great but sealy decided they would put a big pillow top on top and it is completly sunk in. ive even thought about operating on it and cutting off the pillow top just to get to the latex. unfortunatly they would not warranty out the bed because it had a scuff mark on it so im stuck and not satisfied in the least bit. SEALY SUX!!

Give the sales person some credit for identifying as a sales person.  Everyone here has his/her "opinion" based on personal experience whether it be owning a bed, selling beds, etc.  If you choose to trust the words of a single person and not even someone you know, well, you get what you paid for.  Doing research takes time and requires reading from different sources and trying to figure out what it means *for you*.

That said.... I would like to share this story from my officemate.

He has some innerspring mattress.  He says it is totally uncomfortable when you lie on it.  But if you stretch a string across the top of the mattress, there is no sag!  So it passes the manufacturers sag warranty.  Soon he will be mattress shopping.

YMMV
