In one of my thread someone said "latex is good" Please let me know how? I don't care for organic latex or blended latex. I bought a soft latex mattress from spring air and the "touching it and sleeping on it are totally 2 different things." Touching it feels nice but sleeping is terrible. It feels soft to touch but when sleeping the latex "bumps" and "continues to bump" against my body. Result I barely have any decent sleep. The "pushback" by latex even though mine is supposedly a soft latex(heck I don't really know just what the sales guy told me that it was soft feeling latex) is unbearable and created another "different type of pressure not "unlike the pressure created by a spring bed"
So with latex we have "pushback (bumping) pressure against the body" How is this supposed to give "pressure relief"? Anyone, someone please explain this. many many thanks in advance. This message was modified Oct 27, 2011 by Joed

all beds push back against the body. this is a basic law of the universe...equal and opposing reactions....how the mattress spreads out the weight is the issue. If I recall this mattress you have is latex on top of polyurethane foam core...it is hard to say what is causing you the issues. the idea of natural latex is that it spreads weight out very evenly across the body due to its excellent elasticity. however everyone is different. some people buy latex and then try memory foam with better success, and the opposite is also true; sometimes this is both because of pressure related issues. I would say that the correct combination of either material could provide excellent pressure relief. however there may be other factors to consider and there usually is. |
