Can anyone tell me how they feel, and more importantly, do they have any odor to them? also is it better to order from a place that gets their latex from Sri Lanka or Europe?. thanks in advance.

additional details: these toppers are going to be for my kids.

no, did not sleep on it overnight. salesman at Long's bedding told me it was a 42 dunlop. since this is a natural bedding store and they sell a lot of models with talalay on top, I trusted he knew his product. I will add that I found the beds with soft talalay on top to be much too soft for me. they felt like very soft memory foam and did not feel supportive enough. may work for other people, but did not work for me.

hi, i'm new but have been reading for some time and have, unfortunately, been researching mattresses for about 4 months now and have yet to find the right mattress.

as for overstock, i too was told that they were latex green ild 19 talalay. but i would imagine that they would have varying types/ilds depending on who their suppliers are at any given time.

also, i have yet to get a clear answer about returns at overstock.

does anyone know if one orders a topper, opens it, lays it out and lies down on it to see if it is comfortable, then if it is not, packages it up and sends it back, do they give a full refund? or do they only refund unopened toppers?

thanks

Ditto. I'm wondering the same thing. I am considering  getting a couple of MF or Latex topper for our new split king TP, just to add a little something something in the way of softness over the firm mattresses. But, I was concerned about being able to return it. Unfortunately, they seem to have the biggest selection and lowest prices for Twin XL toppers. Otherwise, I would just go with Amazon or Costco.com.

ok, thanks guys. I got the 3 inch latex for my daughters bed. It seemed just as good as SleepEz, even smelled the same, but not a strong odor.

The only difference is, that some of the latex looks dirty. I don't get this?. Is this because it is all natural like they say, or did someone pee on it?. I'm gonna send them an email about this. They did agree to give me a discount since I was originally going to buy a 2" from OS. Maybe that is why I got a crappy piece of latex. But it did feel squishy and good, but my girls said it is firmer than SleepEz latex. I may have to return it for a soft instead of medium.

You didn't say where you purchased this stained latex from. Was it OS or FBM?

My FBM 1" latex topper arrived yesterday, along with a 1" soft PU topper that I included in the order just to get the free shipping.

The physical quality seems quite nice. The latex is smooth; holes uniform; no missing chunks; and it's relatively clean, except for two small black scuff marks.

The color is not white, like other latex that I've seen. It's an off-white, kinda cappuccino-colored.

The holes are kinda large. But, they are uniformly sized and spaced.

Very little odor, hardly noticeable, especially compared to the horrendous chemical stench from new Tempur beds and pillows.

There are no markings, writing, or branding on it. So, I have to take FBM's word that it is 100% natural talalay with an ILD of 20.

Pretty nice value at $63 for twin XL.

The 1" sheet of soft Poly is perfect, white, and clean, and cost around $18.  (shipping on the latex topper woulda been $13, because the latex by itself was under $75. So, the net cost for this was $5)

Ordered 2" topper nearly a year ago, very satisfied.  Ordered one for wife, was supposed to be the same thing, wasn't.  Took  a lot of work to get my refund, custormer service doesn't exist.  I believe they have either changed suppliers, or buy wherever they get a deal, because the one I bought for my wife was very soft (too soft).  I was about to buy from overstock, but am having second thoughts. maybe a little gamble.  I'll keep researching.

Do a search and you will find some recent threads about this. OS doesn't ever actually touch the stuff, so they have no clue what they are selling. Even while the OS CSRs are promising talalay, the actual supplier sends whatever is available.

When I asked for more detailed info from OS once the rep put me on hold then a few minutes later came back with my answer. I asked where she had found the info and she said she'd gone and read the customer reviews, and found it there! So instead of contacting the manufacturer to find out the definitive answer, she was telling me secondhand, unstubstantiated customer gossip! The good news is, she put it in writing, so when it turned out not to be accurate I was able to get OS pay for return shipping.
