I am in LOVE

Oh boy oh boy - here goes! I am a researcher at heart, on EVERYTHING. So, in the past couple months I embarked on a mattress research. I had slept on a couple mattresses at hotels and loved them and was considering buying them, but there was no return policy. I went into all the local stores and tested the mattresses. I liked all the ones that were incredibly expensive (we were looking for a innerspring/hybrid). I liked the Beautyrest Black Labels, which can go upwards of $10k! CRAZY! I read a tons of blogs, watched lots of review videos and decided that I wasn't going to support a brick and mortar store, especially those that are on commission only. My experience in the mattress stores were worse than a used car lot (and I just bought a car a few weeks ago too). And different main brands have different names for each of their mattresses that are sold in each store. This makes cross-shopping and price comparison a complete pain in the butt. It got to the point, where when I was shopping in the stores that I couldn't compare the model or name - I had to get a spec sheet and compare the coil count! So I decided on online retailers only. Then had to decide whether to go with a bed in a bag style or stay with an innerspring. After again, much research - I narrowed it down to 2 companies that sell innerspring mattresses online only. Keep in mind that both companies have full money back return policies, if it doesn't work out :) I was trying to decide between the Aviya Mattress and Saatva Mattress. I ordered the softest/plush Aviya mattress. Once I received it, it was just too firm for us. I literally slept in the other room for a few nights. They then sent out some free foam toppers to help, which it did, but not enough. They ask for you to try it for 30 days before deciding on it. I was fairly happy with it, but wished it was softer. In the meantime, my brother mentioned that he and his wife were looking to buy a Beautyrest Black Label hybrid but he was shocked at the price. I downloaded all my research information to him. He ordered the Saatva plush mattress a couple days later. I went over to his house to try his mattress out and he came to mine to try out my Aviya. Needless to say, I liked his better! So I returned the Aviya for a full refund and bought the Saatva! I have had the Saatva for 6 nights and I seriously can't wait to go jump in bed, as I type! It's soft, plush, tall and feels like I am jumping in a fluffy bed at a hotel :) AND both of these options are at a fraction of the cost (as in cal king mattress only under $1400). We kept our box spring and reused them, as they were in great condition :)There is nothing to lose with a full money back 75-100 day trial period. I know it's a little weird buying a mattress that you haven't tried out, but honestly - can you really know you are making the right decision by laying on a mattress for 5 minutes in a store with the salesperson breathing over you and knowing those mattresses have been on the sales floor for months! I am very happy with our decision and hope to get many years out of it (previous mattress was a Simmons Beautyrest that was 15 yrs old!)

Great mattress: great service

I am VERY surprised. I ordered the medium firm mattress from Saatva, when actually I wanted the plush soft one. Initially, I thought I had ordered the plush soft and the medium firm that was delivered was THEIR mistake, so I called them and asked them to deliver a plush soft and take the medium firm away. They arranged to do this, but before they did, I realized that I had made the mistake in ordering the wrong one. I did the decent thing and called them - and low and behold - they STILL changed mattresses for me! BTW I absolutely LOVE the mattress - no more sore hips when I awaken in the morning. Even my husband who likes a firmer mattress, finds that he sleeps very well on this one. No - we don't know ANYONE at this company and in fact never heard of them until I was researching mattresses on the internet. Try them - I think you'll find both the mattress AND the service you love.

Pros & Cons
Pros: Great comfort - no more sore joints when I wake up. Soft but not too soft, so my husband likes it too. We used to have two oversized twin mattresses on our calif. king bed - now we have the calif. king mattress on our old box spring and it works great. We still do not feel each other's movements.
Cons: At this point, I really cannot think of anything I do not like. If I did I would call them and ask to try another mattress. I had entertained the idea of a tempur medic type mattress which I understand they sell, but since this one feels so good - why change? Question mark in price is because I do not remember offhand and don't want to take the time to look it up.

The soft is too firm

After 5 nights, my back is stiff and aching. The co. has encouraged me to give it more time; which I am willing to do. This morning, my back was worse than before. Sigh, I am hoping my review will go from a one star to a five star after giving it more time. We shall see...

Pros & Cons
Pros: It's made in America and it is a gorgeous set
Cons: way too hard

Saatva plush soft mattress

For the past few years, I have not slept well and could not lie on my left side due to hip pain. I researched mattress ratings on line, tried out mattresses in stores, and decided to give Saatva a try because it was the only one that offered a refund if not delighted. I ordered the plush soft hoping to get a nice cushiony feel. Ordering was a breeze and it arrived when promised, though a little late in the day... not Saatva's fault. There were a few little grease marks on each piece and Saatva immediately offered to replace them. But they were small so I kept it. It did have a manufacturing smell, so I let it air out for a few days. After a couple of weeks the smell was not noticeable. The 8" foundation was actually 9" so measure carefully for your needs. So far, the support and comfort has been wonderful. I am able to lie on my left side again. I am only waking up if the dogs wake me. I am able to easily turn during sleep which is why I don't like Tempurpedic... I can't turn on it. The "rim" of the mattress is firm so I don't feel like I will roll of the edge. I am very happy with this set and have not yet experienced the difficulties described in other reviews.

Pros & Cons
Pros: lower price than similar brands and money refundable if not happy, good support, cushiony feel, I can turn easily, not waking up stiff, looks well made,
Cons: nothing significant

Very mixed rating

I am in the minority. This mattress did not fulfill the expectactions of all the good reviews. Although the mattress appeared to be mostly of great quality, it was uncomfortable for my partner and I. We also noted excessive body indentations after only 2 weeks. Called Saatva to discuss possible solutions and they offered to send me a 2" memory foam topper. Unfortunatly, it was never sent even after a followup. call the next week. I decided to return the mattress. To their credit, they were quick to refund my money minus shipping. They also were quick to pick up the mattress. In spite of my experience, I believe that if this mattress works for you, you will get a very nice mattress at a very fair price.

Pros & Cons
Pros: Appeared to be good quality. Organic cover no stong smells. Painless ordering. Quick reund of payment after I requested to have the mattress returned.
Cons: It was unconfortable. Both my partner and I experienced continual pain and numbness. Customer service was great at first. They dropped the ball when I experienced problems with the comfort level. In the end they were quick to resolve my concerns about a refund and return.

Delivery the Achilles Heel

My rating is strictly on the delivery process and not the product itself as I never actually took delivery of the bed I ordered. I had noticed that the only type of complaint that occurred when doing s review search was about delivery. I too had delivery problems that ended up in me ultimately cancelling my order. Here's how my experience went: 1. On order requested weekend delivery (no mention this was not possible in response from Saatva in their phone and email confirmations) 2. Call from party 1 on Tues AM informing me delivery would be on Wed. I requested late PM. She could not give me the delivery window, that would come from the delivery party later that day, but she noted my request for a PM delivery. 3. Tues PM received an automated call from Party 2 telling me that delivery was schedule early Wed AM with a number to call if a problem. 4. Had to call this number multiple times because I was put on hold for 10+ minutes, finally got through and party 3 told me she could not reschedule, I'd have to phone party 4. 5. Tried to contact party 4, but they were closed by then. 6. Contacted Party 5 at Saatva and cancelled order. 7. Wed AM got call from Party 6 saying they were delivering. I told them I had cancelled the order and they needed to contact Saatva. Unless you are very flexible regarding delivery times, you may want to reconsider ordering a bed from Saatva. On the plus side, Saatva was quick to refund me the entire amount with no hastle although I would have preferred the bed with a hassle free delivery.

Pros & Cons
Pros: Refund speed was quick.
Cons: Delivery Process

Outstanding Quality, Service & Integrity!

Never have I experienced Customer Service as outstanding as that of Saatva! I first purchased the luxury firm mattress and I found that it was too firm for me so I contacted the company and I was given clear directions as to the procedure to exchange for the soft mattress for a nominal courtesy fee plus delivery. They were very courteous and thorough making sure that all "t's" were crossed and all "i's" were dotted. There was no delay in picking up the firmer mattress and delivering the softer mattress as I requested; however, a further indication of their professionalism was again displayed when just prior to delivery, they called me to go over the measurements I had requested for the box spring and mattress. They inquired as to how tall I was, due to the fact that I had ordered the highest mattress & box spring combo - when I told them I was only 5'2" tall, they said that when they saw the combination I chose, they knew it would be an uncomfortable height for me. The fact that they took the time to call and verify whether I was a very tall person prior to delivery, their friendly thoroughness saved us all from having to go through unnecessary delivery and return madness. You couldn't ask for a better product sold by a company with a better staff than Saatva!!!

Saatva Mattress- Plush Soft Comfort Level

I would like to commend Saatva plush soft comfort level for its excellence. I have been looking for a mattress that would provide me with the best comfort I ever wanted. I want my mattress to be soft and comfy. I spend every night alone and I wanted my mattress to hug me with its soft texture. I preferred to have a mattress that can't cause any allergic reactions as well. Having said all of these, I would say that I find saatva plush soft suitable for my mattress preference. In fact, it supersede my expectations.

My Saatva Mattress Review - Amazing!

I ordered a Saatva Plush Soft mattress online in mid May this year after doing a lot of research and reading reviews of this product. I was convinced that its the right mattress for me and is reasonably priced. The mattress was delivered within 2 days at my door steps. I'm having comfortable sleeps since then and wake up relaxed and energetic. I find this low priced mattress amazing and highly recommend it.
