generic guest bed

So my girlfriend wants to buy a guest bed. She knows I've been looking at this forum and she wants me to recommend something. It's queen-size and I imagine she wants to stay under $500 or so. I'm wondering that to recommend.

I'm tempted to say 5" of the LUX-R with 2" of 20ILD latex topper. About $300.
I'm confused a little, that FBM sells memory-foam mattresses with the conventional foam and memory-foam integrated into one item (http://www.mattressbymail.com/memorymattress.html), but they do not do the same for latex. But I gather from reading here that's it's a normal configuration to make a mattress from one of their conventional foams with a latex topper.

Reading old posts, it looks like FBM has a higher-quality of LUX (and HD36), with a -HQ suffix instead of -R. But they're kinda hard to find - not listed under the "Matresses->Conventional" tab, but instead under the "Open Cell Foam" tab. Worse yet, they don't appear to be available in regular bed sizes - instead, for a queen, I'd need to buy an 82x76" piece and carve it down. Why is this, I wonder ?

Uh yeah, I know that. The issue is trying to get the higher-quality -HQ suffix instead of the -R. Like I said, I thought you had to go to a separate "Open Cell Foam" tab to find that, where it's not available in regular bed sizes.
But I called, and what you do is to go to "Mattress->Conventional", where it appears only the -R is available. But if you go to the "Custom Sizes" place and enter your bed dimensions and then click "Continue", you will see the -HQ available. It's kinda confusing, since I don't really want a "custom size", just a regular queen-size.
