inflatable beds

I am going to purchase an air mattress/inflatable bed for my 22 year old son and want one that will not easily puncture and is comfortable. I looked at a particular model of Aerobed and glad I read a review because the way it is designed you can only use their rechargeable pump. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
