Seeking Recommendation for Mattress Under $1000

I recently bought a memory foam mattress w/ supposed "cooling gel" from Sleepy's. Unfortunately, I am finding it much too hot on some nights. I have less than a week left to swap it out for something different. But the traditional mattresses I tried in the store in my price range all have awful reviews here. Since Sleepy's can basically order anything online, can anyone recommend a good quality, durable mattress that won't sleep too warm in the $900-1000 price range?

You really need to go to the store and check out the mattresses. Online reviews for mattresses are pretty silly. People buy expecting a good nights sleep, if they get it then good if not then bad reviews which in most cases is not even the an issue with the mattress but what was picked out. The only thing online reviews are good for is info like how bad it off gasses and if there is a quality (not comfort) issue.
