keeping toppers on mattresses

Do any of you have problems with your toppers sliding off the top of your mattress and having to constantly straighten it out? How do you keep them on without all the shifting! Right now I have a 2 inch memory foam topper with no cover on it, on top of my SBR mattress. I want to get a new bed and a natura topper and wonder if I will continue having this problem. |

The tight diamond stitching on most woven cotton mattress pads made to fit snuggly over the mattress with elastic sides actually produces a sort of trampoline effect when you lie on it. Couple that with the stiff liner on the bottom and it does make the mattress or the topper on the mattress feel harder. I discovered that the mattress pads that are quilted in broad horizontal bands are much softer all around and eliminate the trampoline effect completely. Leo, I don't know if you have a Mervyn's nearby, but they carry both the mattress pad I just described as well as a stretch terry one that sounds just like what you're looking for. | Thanks for the info! Not sure what the horizontal mattress pad looks like. You don't have a link to it do you? I tried Mervyns.com and couldn't find anything. I will go look at the store thank you. Also what about sheets, do you know any good quality stretch sheets? What do you use? |

| I went to Mervyn's and they didn't have terry cloth or stretch mattress covers. : ( |

I wish Costco didn't charge a fee or I would look for the Cuddlebed you guys have. Also that other topper they no longer make that some of you like. SO disappointing that you can't even get that now. It's only sold at Costco.com amd there's no fee. You don't even have to be a member. You can use any credit card, too. I was just on their website--not very useful since you can't order merchandise online. Ithink Target also has a mattress pad with wide ribbed bands of quilting, but I couldn't swear to it. But Mervyns stretch terry pad really sounds like it's exactly what you're looking for. |
